Possible reseach topics at KULeuven:
Theme 1:
- Recovery of biomethane from waste waters
- Development of new membranes for electro-cogeneration (prodution of chemicals + electricity)
- Polymer based membranes for CO2 recovery (GS), bioethanol production (PV) and membrane reactors (SRNF)
Theme 2:
- Mosaic membranes for salt removal
- Fundamental understanding of biofouling in MBRs via high-throughput techniques
Theme 4:
- Preparation of self-assembling membranes based on block-copolymers and polyelectrolytes
- Organomineral membranes for CO2 recovery (GS), bioethanol production (PV) and SRNF
